Madrid

June 11th-June 13th

Our first day in Madrid consisted mainly of sleeping, eating and recovering from London. We got up bright and early the next day for a full day of turista activities. We went to the Reina Sofia Museum and saw Picasso's "Guernica."

Next we went to the Botanical Gardens, and later to the Parque de Buen Retiro where we took a row boat out on a pond. We sang, "Ay yai yai yai...cantar, no llores..."

The next day we spent the day at the Prado Museum, and saw amazing works by Velazquez, El Greco, Goya, Bosch, Rubens, and more.

That night we hopped on an overnight train to Barcelona.
